Vinegar Is A Great House Cleaning Ingredient

Your kitchen is the one room in the house that requires constant attention when it comes to domestic cleaning.  It’s the one place that needs to be cleaned on a daily basis because we create a lot of mess while we cook our meals and after we’ve eaten.

Not a day goes by that the kitchen sink doesn’t get filled up with dirty pots and pans, bowls, plates and cutlery.  Even something as simple as a microwave dinner can create a lot of mess as oil or sauces splat against the walls; leaving a funky smell inside.  We don’t even want to think about the mess that has fossilised around the edges of our ovens due to constantly putting off cleaning it for weeks at a time.

We’re bombarded everyday with adverts promoting new house cleaning products, and it seems you need a different one for each type of surface or appliance…rubbish!

Truth is a lot of the kitchen cleaning can be done using natural ingredients you may already have in the house, including vinegar.  Here are a few easy to follow domestic cleaning tips.

  • Mix two tablespoons of salt with one tablespoon of white vinegar to create a paste for removing limescale and shining your sink.
  • Soak a cloth in undiluted vinegar to wipe down the counters.  This will kill any germs and eliminate odours once it dries.
  • If a foul smell is coming from your drain, pour one cup of baking soda and one cup of hot white vinegar.  Wait five minutes and pour hot water down the drain.
  • Pour half a cup of white vinegar and half a cup of water in a bowl and bring it to a boil in the microwave.  This will loosen any stains and remove any odours.

These are just a few examples, but there are a thousand uses for vinegar when it comes to house cleaning, so even if you’re not a great fan of putting vinegar on your chips it’s still a good idea to keep some in the house.

Of course, if you’re living a hectic lifestyle and you simply don’t have enough time to do all the domestic cleaning, then you should consider calling the help of a domestic cleaning company London.  Their highly skilled domestic cleaners can visit your home on a regular basis to keep on top of the chores, so that you can actually relax when you return from a hard day’s work.
