Domestic Cleaning London

It is rather depressing that maintaining your home in clean shape at all times can be so demanding. It means that rather than using your time the way you want, you’re stuck with bothersome tasks that don’t seem to have an end.

Have you considered the fact that one reason for chores being so hard is that you are not doing them properly? There are quite a few mistakes you can make when cleaning, which unnecessarily complicate things or make them even more tedious. You will do well to learn those and avoid them in the best way you can to ensure that your cleaning is successful:

Using a feather duster – even though it’s lovely, this cleaning tool actually holds more of an aesthetic value and not so much cleaning. It’s just not that good at cleaning dust from surfaces, which is what it’s supposed to do. The outcome of using a feather duster generally is just dust being spread from one place to another. Instead of using that, you can just get a microfibre towel. It catches the dust particles and retains them, ensuring the cleaning outcome is viable.

Cleaning windows on a sunny day – even though you may be more motivated to clean windows on a sunny day, it is actually harder and unproductive. Reason being is that the heat will quickly dry up the cleaner, before you have had a chance to wipe it. Consequently, there’ll be streaks all over the window. To avoid this, you should just do the task in a different time.

Concentrate on window cleaning in the morning/afternoon or do this job on a cloudy day.
Not cleaning the vacuum cleaner – the hoover is one reliable cleaning tool. In any case, you should clean it from time to time. If you skip this task, you risk spreading the dust. Do not wait for the vacuum bag to get full and clean the filters from time to time.

You don’t clean the vacuum fan – one of the items you’ll most probably miss while on cleaning duty is the bathroom fan. Since it’s hidden, it’s easy to address every other item in the bathroom but the fan. In case you are only now considering this task, prepare for a nasty surprise. Once you open the panel, you’ll find the fan has accumulated a ton of dust. Wipe it down (after switching it off) and take apart any component that you can easily reassemble back later. Speaking of your bathroom fan, make sure you turn it on every time you take a bath. That’s a sure method to cut on bathroom cleaning chores in the future. The less moisture there is, the less cleaning issues you will deal with.

Once you have learned to avoid these simple errors, you will see that cleaning is actually manageable. At the very least, you will not have to do it all again in a short while.
